As you know already, the Court of Appeal of Ghent has taken the case into deliberation since almost one year. The last hearings took place on 19 December 2008!

 

We were informed recently by the clerk of the court's office that the judgment in the criminal proceedings will not be for this year, while it was promised month after month that there would be a judgment.

 

As for next year 2010, there is no new date planned yet.

 

We have recently asked for explanation to the competent Minister of Justice. You will find here below the correspondence with the Minister (only available in French and Dutch). We hope that this initiative will contribute to a faster result, as the period of time elapsed (9 years since the facts) is unjustifiable.
